Urbanus Woonservice
Urbanus Woonservice owns and operates 800 residential rental units. In Belfeld they own family homes, homes for singles and two-person families, homes for the elderly, homes where care can be provided, and a number of communal facilities such as a support center for the elderly (’t Prônkeppelke), a Green Cross building, and a home for guided living. In Baarlo they own and operate the care- and nursinghome Ter Borcht and a number of support independent living units.
Nursinghome Ter Borcht was affected by Legionella over a number of years, and this lead to such disruptions that personnel and clients of Urbanus were suffering emotionally. The thermal regime, flushing, chemical cleaning, and the disruption of normal operations, as well as the uncertainty of recurrence of Legionella was affecting everyone.
A relieved director J.T.G. van den Bercken says: "On the 1st of february 2006 you installed BIFIPRO® and within a few months your equipment has eradicated Legionnella."
