Stichting Zorgverlening
The Stichting Zorgverlening of the Reformed Municipalities of Zeeland is active in the field of housing, care, and support in the nursinghomes Rehoboth in Goes, Eben-Haëzer in Middelburg and in extra-mural care.
The Rehoboth suffered from recurring Legionella problems. Despite a regimen of flushing, changes to the plumbing installation, numerous thermal and chemical disinfections, Legionella kept reappearing. Not only did these efforts cost a great deal of time from employees, the total cost approached € 100,000.
In 2003 they installed the first BIFIPRO® system, together with Holland Watertechnology. A number of tests and analyses were performed to verify and optimise effectiveness of the BIFIPRO® system. The installation was tracked closely by KIWA, a worldwide quality assurance firm with specific expertise in drinking water. They inspected the equipment on effectiveness, but also on taste, smell and clarity and quality of the drinking water. In addition they verified the effect of copper- silver ionisation on the plumbing installations. KIWA had a positive impression on all these factors and wrote a positive report.
Head of Technical Service J. Preuter is so happy with BIFIPRO® that he wrote: "If potential customers are interested I am very keen to talk with them. If they would like to visit our location and inspect the BIFIPRO® installation I'll gladly arrange it for them."
